ComepGPS, rilasciate le versioni 7.0 per CompeGPS Land e CompeGPS Air

Annunciamo con piacere che sono da oggi disponibili dal nostro ecommerce le nuove versioni di CompeGPS Land 7.0 e CompeGPS Air 7.0.

Sono state aggiunte nuove importanti funzioni e migliorata l'usabilità.

Tra le novità principali segnaliamo:

FotoGPS
L'integrazione nella versione base del plugin  FotoGPS.
Nelle versioni precedenti questo plugin era acuistabile a parte.
Grazie a questo utile plugin è possibile geocodificare in modo semplice e automatico le foto e video ripresi con normale fotocamera digitale, videocamera o telefono durante la rilevazione traccia con il GPS.
Latitudine, longitudine e altitudine alle foto scattate vengono salvate nella sezione Exif relativa alla localizzazione e permetterne così la localizzazione da Picasa, Google Earth e Flickr.
 

Roadbook
La possibilità di creare ed editare roadbooks navigabili da CompeGPS Aventura e CompeGPS Sportiva e aggiungere istruzioni e icone.
Questa funzione è particolarmente utile per località turistiche che volessero produrre guide turistiche virtuali.
Ai punti di interesse possono essere anche associate foto e audio.

Per i possessori di precedenti versioni 6.x, è possibile acquistare l'aggiornamento.

Di seguito una lista delle nuove funzioni:

Direct communication with TwoNav Aventura/Sportiva/Evadeo

CompeGPS Land will automatically detect the device and display it on the ‘Storage files' branch in the data tree.

Under the name of the device you can view its contents classified by type of item (tracks, routes, waypoints, maps).

In the data tree will also appear, as one device more, CompeGPS Land, showing the data stored in the default folders.

Once connected, you can perform various operations with the device:

  • Open files

  • Transfer flies

  • Activate protected contents

  • Update the software of the device

New activation system

When starting the program for first time, you will be asked to introduce a register code (license) for CompeGPS Land/Air or for one of the maps included in the extensive catalogue of CompeGPS.

If you have a CompeGPS Land/Air register code, enter it and follow instructions to complete the activation of the program.

If the code entered belongs to a map, the program will be activated in basic mode* and you will be able to work with the map using the basic functions.

If you do not have a register code (license), press 'free activation' and, after entering your personal data, you will be able to work with the basic functions of the program*.

*Basic mode will also allow you to try advanced functions in that computer for 30 days.
 

3D evolution

CompeGPS Land/Air has been adapted to work with 3D system which is more advanced, flexible and with better performance.

This permitted to integrate 3D viewer in main window, and in any secondary window.

3D options have been integrated in general options window (3D icon, 3D icon scale, draw relief even if raster loaded).

3D relief will not be drawn by default if a raster map is loaded. If you want to see it, activate 'draw relief in 3D view even if a raster map is loaded' from '3D landscapes' section in options.

Multiple windows

Button allows to add secondary windows to the main window.

Secondary windows can be placed anchored (at left, right or down) or floating, like other windows (data tree, graph, properties...). Just open the menu of the window with a right click on its tab and choose is situation.

FotoGPS included

From version 7, standard CompeGPS Land/Air license includes also FotoGPS module, which was sold separately in until now.

UTF8

Software works now with this Unicode character codification format.

This makes the program much more flexible to work in environtments with strange characters (arabic, hebrew, etc.), allowing the correct view of files created with this kind of characters and facilitating the correct performance independently regional configuration of the system.

Device ID resistant to formatting

Device ID which is used to activate products in the computer is now generated in a different way, staying the same even after formatting computer.

This way, if you have to format hard drive, you will be able to activate again the CompeGPS products without losing activation attempts and using the same register code.

You can see the ID of your computer going to 'menu > help > Activation info'.

Track up / North up

CompeGPS Land/Air allows to rotate the map in other directions than the classical to North.

If after rotating map, you want to orient it to North again, press 'orient map' button .

If 'track up' option is enabled, when making a track animation or a navigation, the map will automatically rotate in current direction.

Compass

A 2D compass has been added (3D compass already existed) for a better orientation when map is rotated.

You can configure the compass from '2D view' section in options window so it is shown always, just when map is rotated to different orientation than North, or to never show it.

Waypoint properties classification

Waypoint properties have been ordered for a better management.

MAPS NEW FEATURES

3D reliefs integrated in 'maps'

Digital elevation models (DEM), reliefs, or 3D maps, have been integrated in maps management, unifying they management to get more conceptual simplicity and reduce number of options in menu.

Therefore, you will have to go to 'open map' to open a relief, reliefs will appear in 'maps' branch in data tree, and functions for reliefs will be available in 'maps' section of the main menu.

New remote maps from Spanish IGN (topographic and orthophoto)

From Internet maps downloader you can access several new remote maps.

We highlight topographic 1:25.000 and orthophoto 50cm/pixel from spanish IGN.

CompeGPS world relief server

CompeGPS gives you access to 3D reliefs available for all the world so you can access them remotely and get information about terrain elevation from any area.

We created a new server which offers these data on-line. You can access it opening the World.cdem file which is included with installer.

Elliptic mercator projection

This projection has been implemented, in addition to previous spherical mercator.

Elliptic Mercator is normally called just Mercator, but in CompeGPS we use 'Mercator' for the spherical one to keep coherence with previous versions.

New datums

Belgium and Slovenia.

Compatibility with TouraTech QV maps

Maps from Touratech's QV software (*.cal) can be opened if they are created with UTM, Mercator, Transversal mercator, lamber SP1, lambert SP2 or lambert azimuthal.

National grids or free calibrations are not supported.

Show tiles layout

Now you can see a representation of the tiles layout for the complete mosaic map.

When this function is activate (right click on 'list of tiles' on data tree) you will be able to see where is each map tile. If pointer is placed on a tile, its name will appear so you can identify it.

TRACKS NEW FEATURES

'Roadbooks' creation and edition

CompeGPS Land allows to create roadbooks including instructions, icons and croquis for a complete orientation in the field.

Roadbooks you created can be viewed in TwoNav taking profit of all the information they contain.

Delete ignored points (unify)

This function deletes ignored points which are generated in some tracks and causing cuts in track viewing.

This happens tipically in some Garmin models and can be corrected opening context menu on the file and selecting 'legs > delete ignored points'.

WAYPOINTS NEW FEATURES

Modify all waypoints of a file

When opening properties of a waypoints’ file (right click on the name of the file in data tree) you can see name of the file and number of waypoints inside it.
In addition to this, you can also make modifications which are applied to all the waypoints of the file.
Under ‘modify all waypoints’ label you will be able to change next properties of all the waypoints of that file:Font, Icon, Color of the text, Color of the background, Radius, Show name, Show description, Show altitude, Show icon, Draw radius, See URL.

Warning! If waypoints in that waypoints file had information about these fields, it will be lost when applying modifications to all waypoints. This that happens, you can use button to ‘undo’ operation.

COMMUNICATIONS NEW FEATURES

Direct communication / Indirect communication

A 'Direct communication' system has been developed allowing to connect a GPS to CompeGPS Land/Air without any previous configuration and using data tree for en easier and quicker management.

Currently, just next systema allow direct communication: TwoNav Aventura, Sportiva, Evadeo, iPhone*

*Communication with iPhone

CompeGPS Land/Air can connect to TwoNav iPhone to transfer maps, tracks, routes and waypoints using FTP system available in TwoNav iPhone.

To perform this communication, you will have to activate FTP function in iPhone and stablish communication from 'menu > Communications > Connect to iPhone' in CompeGPS Land/Air.

This communication requires iTunes installed in the computer and that PC and iPhone are connected to the same wifi network.

 

SOLVED BUGS

  • Map activation was not automatically launched in some cases when trying to open tile of a mosaic map.

  • Solved several problems in MPVF creation.

  • Solved several problems in track book

  • SHP reading problems corrected.

  • Tracks were created inverted.
